Who would benefit from FBC

Almost everyone would find benefit from Full body Cryotherapy sessions, for multiple reasons. This treatment is safe for all age groups (from 14 years old and up), and for ALL Skin types.

Due to the significant drop in air temperature with the CryoCabin, there are some patients where this treatment would NOT be recommended, due to certain medical conditions:

Are there side effects related to Full Body Cryotherapy:

Although WBC is scientifically and clinically tried and tested, and extremely safe, like with most things in life, we must be aware of any possible Risks - even if minor - that can occur with this or any treatment we may undergo.

Mild Fluctuations in blood pressure - this is due to peripheral vasoconstriction, blood pressure may briefly increase by up to 10mmHb, during treatment. This effect would and does normally reverse after the end of the procedure, as peripheral circulation returns to normal. In patients with normal blood pressure, this is not a problem.

Allergic reaction to extreme cold (rare)

Claustrophobia and anxiety - however, your head is out of the cabin, so claustrophobia is rare.

Possible activation of some viral conditions (eg. cold sores) - this is due to the positive  stimulation of the immune system

For clients with weak blood circulation or very sensitive skin, the skin can turn red and feel tingly and irritated after the treatment. This will, however, subside within a day or two and does not require any medical attention.

If you experience any such skin irritation you must NOT rub or massage the area and avoid tight clothing or exercise which could further irritate this.

Whole Body Cryotherapy has multiple uses:

Whole body relaxation
Stress reduction within the body
Relief of muscular tension in general and from exercise
Recovery from muscular tension and
Quicker recovery from surgery, illness or injury.

Of Note:

Whole Body Cryotherapy should not be construed as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis or curative treatment for any condition. It is always advised to see a Doctor, or other qualified medical specialist for any ailment of which you are aware.
